As developing artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, the Galaxy AI, announced with the S24 series, is also evolving with innovations. At yesterday’s Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced that Galaxy AI features will be released to 400 million devices by the end of the year. This is almost double the target announced last year. Here are the details.
Galaxy AI will be coming to all devices, from phones to XR headsets
Galaxy AI features, previously seen only on phones, tablets, wearables, and foldable phones, will become more comprehensive, according to the announcements. The AI system, even planned for XR headsets, will be significantly more advanced.
Speaking at the press conference, Samsung MX President TM Roh confirmed the high adoption and expanded rollout of the AI model announced in January of last year. Since its initial launch, it has been released to the Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, S24 FE, and Tab S10 series, and more recently to the S25 series, Z Fold7, and Z Flip7.
The Galaxy Tab S11 series and the Galaxy S25 FE, scheduled to be unveiled towards the end of the year, will also benefit from these features. Even mid-range devices like the Galaxy A35, A36, A55, and A56 are reportedly getting a simplified version of Galaxy AI, with features like real-time translation included.
It’s also been reported that Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold phone, the G Fold, and the XR devices will also receive these AI features. The latest version of the AI model runs on One UI 8 and Android 16, and includes Selfie Studio, Interpreter Mode, and many more features.
